FACTSHEET #15 – ISSUE: CYPRUS INVESTMENT FIRMS (C.I.F.)

The current legal regime in relation to the granting of C.I.F. authorization is regulated by the law N 144 (I)/2007, “Law that provides for the Supply of Investment Services, the Exercise of Investment Activities, the Function of Regulated Markets and other related issues” (also known as “MIFID”), which came into force on 26 of October of 2007. The said Law implements the relevant EU Directive on the eld of Investment Services.
